Alexandra Mascaro

Alexandra Mascaro has a diverse work experience in the field of medical writing and research. Alexandra is currently working as a Senior Medical Writer 2 at BOLDSCIENCE since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Scimentum, where they held multiple roles including Senior Medical Writer from July 2022 to March 2023, Medical Writer II from July 2021 to July 2022, and Medical Writer from September 2020 to July 2021. Before entering the medical writing field, Alexandra worked at Brown University as a Research Assistant for their PhD from September 2019 to September 2020. Alexandra'sresearch focused on studying cell signaling pathways and their role in apoptosis and gene expression in Drosophila ovaries. Alexandra also developed an assay system to screen compounds for the treatment of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Prior to their PhD, they worked as a Research Assistant at Rutgers University from June 2011 to May 2014, where they studied the regulation of heat shock protein activation. Alexandra has a strong background in scientific research and medical writing.

Alexandra Mascaro completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Rutgers University from 2010 to 2014. Alexandra then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Brown University from 2014 to 2019.
