Karl Zawadzki

Karl Zawadzki has a strong academic and industry background in scientific research. Karl started their career as a Research Associate at Kinetek Pharmaceuticals in 2001 before moving on to a similar role at The University of British Columbia later that year. Karl then pursued a postdoctoral researcher position at Stanford University, where they conducted research on meiotic chromosome dynamics and DNA damage repair in the nematode C. elegans from 2009 to 2013.

In 2013, Karl transitioned into the healthcare communications industry and joined Health Interactions as a Medical Writer. Karl then progressed to the role of Senior Medical Writer before becoming an Associate Scientific Director. After their time at Health Interactions, Karl joined Achaogen in 2016 as a Senior Manager. Karl later took on the role of Associate Director before leaving the company in 2018.

In 2019, Karl joined SciMentum as a Scientific Director, where they remained until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientific Director at BOLDSCIENCE, starting in June 2022.

Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at Princeton University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biology. Karl's PhD program took place from 2003 to 2009.
