Jacob Humburg

Principal Environmental Engineer at Bolton & Menk, Inc.

Jacob Humburg has diverse work experience in various engineering roles. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Surveying Intern at Banner Associates, Inc., gaining experience in surveying techniques. Starting in 2013, Jacob pursued their graduate studies in environmental engineering at South Dakota State University, focusing on research that involved using polymers to settle turbidity in stormwater from construction sites. Jacob completed their degree in 2015. Afterward, Jacob joined Bolton & Menk, Inc. as an Environmental Design Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for designing water and wastewater treatment facility processes, lift stations, and water and wastewater system components. Jacob also contributed to writing operations and maintenance manuals, creating capital improvement and asset management plans, and providing on-site engineering services and construction observation.

Jacob Humburg earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from South Dakota State University. Jacob attended the university from 2008 to 2015. In December 2018, they obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (PE) from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
