Zach Parsons, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to the present. Zach began their career as an intern at the City of Marion, Iowa, where they tracked construction progress of subdivisions and performed concrete field testing. Following this, they worked part-time/interned at the US Army Corps of Engineers, where they assembled estimates and scopes of projects, visited contractors on-site, and completed payrolls, reports, and submittals.

In 2014, Zach then joined J.F. Brennan Company, Inc as an intern. Here, they managed workers, ensured work met specifications, communicated with owners and consultants regarding project designs and practices, and performed tasks like writing submittals and quantity takeoffs.

From 2015 onwards, Zach has been working at Bolton & Menk, Inc. where they have held various roles. Initially, as a Transportation Design Engineer, they were responsible for the preliminary and final design of transportation projects involving roundabouts, ADA compliance, biking, and trail projects. Their responsibilities included geometric design, corridor design, utility coordination, traffic signal design, lighting analysis design, signing and pavement marking design, construction staging, special provisions, cost estimates, and roadway inspections. Zach was also involved with the CAD workgroup and CAV (Connected Autonomous Vehicles) workgroup. Later, they transitioned to the role of a Transportation Project Engineer, handling similar tasks and projects.

Overall, Zach Parsons, P.E. has gained extensive experience in transportation project engineering and design, demonstrating their expertise in various aspects of road infrastructure planning, design, and management.

Zach Parsons, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. Zach attended Iowa State University from 2011 to 2015, completing their undergraduate studies in the field.
