Tess O'Brien

Backcountry Ski Guide at Bolton Valley Resort

Tess O'Brien is a dedicated graduate student researcher at the University of Vermont Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, as well as a graduate assistant for the Lake Champlain Aquatic Nonindigenous Species Information System. In addition to these roles, Tess serves as a backcountry ski guide at Bolton Valley Resort and has experience as a solar installer with SunCommon and as a farm crew member at Pomykala Farm. Previously, Tess contributed to agricultural development as an Agriculture Extension Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Tess holds a Bachelor's degree in Forest Ecosystem Science and an Associate's degree in Environmental Natural Resource Conservation from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Currently, Tess is pursuing a Master of Science in Natural Resources/Conservation at the University of Vermont, expected to complete in 2025.
