Darran Bowles

Darran Bowles has a diverse work experience in the football industry, starting with their current position as the Academy Head of Coaching at Bolton Wanderers Football Club since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Academy Coach at the same club from January 2022 to January 2023. Before joining Bolton Wanderers, Bowles served as the Technical Director for Girls RTC & Academy at Liverpool FC from January 2021 to January 2022. Darran began their career at The Football Association in 2014, where they held various roles including Coach Developer and Regional Coach Mentor Officer until January 2021. In their role as a Coach Developer, Bowles was responsible for Coach Education and Development in Cheshire, as well as supporting the delivery of national courses, events, and projects.

Darran Bowles pursued their education at Northumbria University from 1989 to 1992. During this period, they successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sports Studies, focusing on this field of study.
