Joe Shaw

Joe Shaw currently serves as the Head of Academy Player Care & DSO at Bolton Wanderers Football Club since May 2024 and has been a Soccer Referee for Lancashire FA since November 2017. Previously, Joe held the roles of Player Care Lead & Safeguarding Manager and Academy Safeguarding Officer & Player Care Lead at Morecambe Football Club from September 2022 to April 2024, and worked as a Safeguarding Administrator and Player Care at Blackpool Football Club from December 2020 to September 2022. Joe has experience as a Performance Analyst with an internship in August 2021, recording and coding academy matches, and as a Recruitment Consultant with Job Matcher from August 2020 to September 2022. Prior to these roles, Joe worked as a Sales Advisor at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and as a Kitchen Porter at Dutton Arms in 2019. Educationally, Joe is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sports Business Management at the University of Central Lancashire, with previous studies including a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport from Blackpool FC Community Trust.
