Abhas Saroha

Abhas Saroha has a long history of work experience. Abhas began as a KVPY Scholar in 2006 and participated in the VSP programme at IUCAA in 2008. In 2010, they worked as a Business Development Manager for Intinno Technologies and then as a Software Engineer for Studypad.inc in 2011. Abhas then joined Zynga as a Software Engineer, where they worked on three games and was promoted to Senior Software Engineer, working on both web and mobile versions of the game Hidden Shadows. In 2014, they joined Moonfrog Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to major portions of the code base of all the games and built and maintained ETL solutions for data analytics. In 2016, they co-founded SpotSense Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd, a medical solutions company aimed at making healthcare affordable and accessible across markets. In 2017, they joined MakeMyTrip.com as a Principal Engineer, leading their Android app development effort and the Channel Manager (Hotel in-sourcing, part of Ingoibibo) team. Finally, in 2018, they co-founded Bombay Play.

Abhas Saroha received an Int. MSc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur between 2005 and 2010. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Coding the Matrix: Linear Algebra through Computer Science Applications (2015), Exploratory Data Analysis (2014), R Programming (2014), The Data Scientist's Toolbox (2014), Automata (2013), Computer Networks (2013), Machine Learning (2013), Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 2 (2013), and Compilers (2012).
