Elena Drozd, Ph.D

Elena Drozd, Ph.D has a comprehensive work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Elena currently holds the position of VP of Data Science at Bombora, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Oracle for a significant period of time. At Oracle, they held various roles including Senior Director of Data Science & Advanced Analytics from January 2018 to October 2022, where they built and managed a team of 50+ data scientists and developed talent across various levels. Elena also played a key role in developing the FIRE framework for marketing and sales enablement, resulting in a significant improvement in opportunity win rate. Before their role as Senior Director, they worked as the Director of the Marketing Advanced Analytics group and as a Senior Advanced Analyst Manager. Elena started their career as an Analyst for Oracle at IPS in October 2005 before eventually advancing to more senior positions.

Elena Drozd, Ph.D has a strong education background in Mathematics. Elena obtained their Ph.D in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where they studied from 1987 to 1992.

In addition to their academic degrees, Elena has also obtained certifications in relevant fields. In December 2013, they completed a certification course titled "Web Intelligence and Big Data" from Coursera. Furthermore, in November 2013, they successfully completed the "Computing for Data Analysis" certification course, also from Coursera.
