Subsequently, they pursued their medical studies and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Pt. B D S University of Health Sciences between 1995 and 2000. Bijender then went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Internal Medicine from Mercy St Vincent Medical Center from 2007 to 2010. In 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Business of Medicine MBA degree from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, focusing on healthcare. In 2017 to 2018, they continued their education in the field of physician leadership, completing the Physician Leadership Series from Suburban Health Organization. Additionally, they have obtained certifications, including the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) certification and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) certification in Healthcare Quality Management. Currently, they are studying Flight Medicine at the US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, with an expected completion date in 2022.
