Michal Jirak

Michal Jirak has a diverse work experience in the tech and e-commerce industry. Michal co-founded and worked as a Founding Partner at MITON, a company focused on tech in the CEE region. Michal launched numerous businesses in consumer internet and e-commerce and also invested in some.

Michal is currently an Investor at Knihobot, where they fuel their interest in the circular economy through investments in pre-loved books.

In 2013, they co-founded and became an investor at Glami.cz, a top fashion destination that offers a wide range of brands and fashion inspiration. Around the same time, they co-founded Bonami, a leading home and decor e-tailer in the CEE region. Initially a shopping club, it transformed into a full omni-channel retailer.

Michal was also an Investor at Grupa DOMODI from 2013 to 2018, and at Slevomat, the No. 1 daily deals player in the CEE region, from 2010 to 2017.

Before these roles, they founded and served as the CEO of Heureka.cz, one of the largest e-commerce destinations in Czech Rep. and Slovakia. Originally a price comparison service, it evolved into a broad shopping guide across all categories.

Earlier in their career, they worked as the Project Director of Stahuj.cz from 2005 to 2007.

From 2000 to 2006, Michal Jirak studied at Prague University of Economics and Business, where they obtained a Master's degree in Economy.
