Alvaro Avila Ormazabal

Alvaro Avila Ormazabal is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in engineering management and project leadership within the mining and construction sectors. Currently serving as Gerente de Ingeniería at Bonatti since May 2020, Alvaro previously held senior engineering roles at Ausenco, including Jefe de ingeniería for the MLP framework contract and Gerente de Proyecto for the CCMC. Prior to that, Alvaro was Gerente de Ingeniería and Gerente de Proyecto at BRASS ENGINEERING, overseeing significant projects for major clients such as Codelco and Minera Escondida. Early career experience includes key engineering positions at Ausenco PSI and BRASS ENGINEERING, along with foundational work at Ipromsa S.A. Alvaro holds a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile and a diploma in Project Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
