Danny Jacobs

Danny Jacobs is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental and social advocacy. Currently, Danny serves as a member of the General Assembly at Kom op tegen Kanker since May 2023, contributing to efforts aimed at combating cancer. As President of Vogelbescherming Vlaanderen since January 2023, Danny leads initiatives for bird protection in Belgium, building upon a long-standing legacy since 1922. Previously, Danny held the position of general director and CEO of Bond Beter Leefmilieu, focusing on nature and environmental advocacy in Flanders since 1991. Additionally, Danny serves as a Belgian member of the Council for the European Environmental Bureau, among other significant roles in various organizations including de Verenigde Verenigingen, Koning Boudewijnstichting, and Trage Wegen vzw. Danny holds a master’s degree in Social Studies from KU Leuven and a graduate certificate in organizational management from Balans, Gent.
