Edgar Abad

Edgar Abad is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in controls engineering and automation spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Sr. Controls Engineer at Bond Technologies, Inc. since September 2025, Edgar previously held roles at Edgewater Automation as a Controls Design Engineer, where collaboration with various engineering disciplines resulted in the design and commissioning of custom factory automation machines. Prior to that, Edgar worked at Grotnes Inc. as a Sr. Controls Engineer, focusing on automation equipment for the OEM market. Additional experience includes positions at Siemens Healthineers, Honeywell Aerospace, Hess Industries, and Capitol Technologies, where Edgar developed expertise in control systems, manufacturing process support, and electrical standards. Edgar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology from Purdue University-South Bend and an Associate's Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology from Ivy Tech Community College.
