Lena Bheeroo

Lena is the events and programme manager and equity, diversity & inclusion lead at Bond. Lena leads the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion work we do for the sector, as well as overseeing the delivery and content of our programme of major events, including the annual conference and exhibition and the international development awards. She is also a Committee Member of #CharitySoWhite, and on the working group of The Racial Equity Index.

Before joining Bond, Lena led on events at the Charity Finance Group across the regions, covering a variety of topics ranging from risk and social investment to managing people and IT and data insight, working closely with members and the Charity Commission.

Prior to this she worked to deliver on the International Fundraising Congress in the Netherlands and Fundraising Online conference at the Resource Alliance as well as delivering events with partners in Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Kenya and Uganda.

She has also worked as a project manager raising awareness of human rights issues in Palestine, working on projects in collaboration with the British Council. Lena has a Masters in Nationalism and Politics from University of Edinburgh.
