Lauren Sowers has extensive experience in the hospitality and chemical industries, with a career spanning from 2005 to the present. Currently, Lauren serves as the Managing Partner at Bonefish Grill, having held various positions within the company since November 2009, including Senior Manager and Assistant Manager/Bartender. Prior experience includes working at Protameen Chemicals, where Lauren was involved in sample procurement, packaging, and client communication. Lauren also trained new servers at Outback Steakhouse and held a key employee role at LEGO Group, where responsibilities included customer assistance and cashier duties. Academic pursuits are ongoing at Bergen Community College, with attendance beginning in 2005.

Fueled by their mutual passion for fish and adventure, our founders set out to create a unique dining experience- one that would take the mystery out of fish for people who didn't eat it very often, and yet provide further mystery for the truly adventurous. In their search to find fish from the waters of the world, they hunted down fish purveyors with the same commitment to quality as theirs. They hired a responsible fish guy who never stops traveling in search of unique species. Today, the founders' ritual of receiving, inspecting and hand cutting fish daily is still practiced by the partners at Bonefish Grill. As is their dogged commitment to quality and excellence at every level. On January 15, 2000 in St. Petersburg, Florida, the first Bonefish Grill was born. People turned out in droves! The success of their vision has generated restaurant growth that has taken them throughout the Southeast and Northeastern coasts, and today Bonefish Grill has begun expanding throughout the U.S.
