Jim Beslity is currently a Board Member at Bonfire Digital Wellness. Prior to this, they were with Princeton High School, The 101: Fund, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Jim has also been with Zimmer, Inc. and The Legal Aid Society.
Jim began their career as a Staff Attorney with The Legal Aid Society in August of 1979. Jim then became Litigation Counsel for Bristol Myers Squibb in July of 1982, a position they held for ten years. In February of 1997, Jim took on the role of Assistant General Counsel, Medical Devices, for Zimmer, Inc. After two years in this position, they returned to Bristol Myers Squibb as Senior Counsel for Oncology, HIV, and Antibiotic Brands. Jim remained with Bristol Myers Squibb for over 20 years in various roles, including Assistant General Counsel for Global Privacy and Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer. Jim left the company in July of 2020 to join Bonfire Digital Wellness as a Board Member.
Jim Beslity began their educational career by attending Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School. Jim then received their B.A. in Government from Harvard University. After working for a few years, they decided to attend law school and received their J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Jim is also certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
