Marieke Knoben

Marieke Knoben is a Senior History Teacher and Head of Department at Bonhoeffercollege, where Marieke has worked since August 2000. Marieke has been recognized for excellence in teaching, having been nominated for Rijksmuseum/NTR's 'Best History Teacher' in 2014, 2016, and 2021. Additionally, Marieke serves as a TOM Coach, assisting gifted students in maintaining their enthusiasm for learning, and as a Sectie Coach, collaborating with colleagues to enhance team performance. Marieke's career in education began at Sweelinck College as a History Teacher from December 1999 to August 2000. Marieke holds various educational qualifications, including a degree from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a CPE in English from the British Language Training Centre.
