Cindy Lai Yee

Cindy Lai Yee has a diverse background with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Cindy Lai began their career as a Research Assistant at Genencor, A Danisco Division in 2001 and later worked as a Research Associate at Genentech from 2004 to 2006. Cindy Lai then moved on to Merck, where they served as a Senior Scientist for nearly a decade from 2006 to 2015.

In 2015, Cindy joined IPM Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. as a Project Management Consultant before assuming the role of Assistant Director, Portfolio Program & Alliance Management at AbbVie. During their time at AbbVie, they were responsible for managing portfolios and alliances.

Cindy's career continued to progress as they joined the Food Allergy Research & Education organization, serving on the Outcomes Research Advisory Board from 2016 to 2018. Cindy Lai later joined Alphabet Inc., specifically working with Verily Life Sciences as the Partner Engagement & Program Management Lead from 2018 to 2020.

In 2020, Cindy joined BeiGene as the Director Alliances, Strategy & Partnering, where they were involved in strategic planning and partnerships. Cindy Lai subsequently moved on to Good Therapeutics, Inc. in 2021, assuming the position of Head of Project & Alliance Management.

Currently, Cindy holds leadership roles at Bonum Therapeutics, where they serve as the Head of Project and Alliance Management. Cindy Lai will also transition into the role of Head of Portfolio Strategy & Operations in 2023.

Cindy Lai Yee has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Cindy Lai also holds a Project Management Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, they have completed a program called "The Emerging COO: Driving Innovation and Operational Excellence" at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Cindy has also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, although the exact month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
