Seçil Ünlü Akkaya

Seçil Ünlü Akkaya began their professional career in 2012 working as a Sales Assistant at Inditex. In 2016, they joined Metglobal as a Market Executive, where they were responsible for maximizing profit and revenue in existing contracted hotels, using all tools available to keep GPS share in total production at the highest level possible, preparing and optimizing contracted hotels for sale in line with processes, systems and channels’ requirements, taking actions and informing market manager where necessary to supply the requested rates, availabilities and payment options, identifying sales and performance problems and providing solutions for such problems, managing relationship with internal and external clients and partners, applying and executing necessary changes in processes and systems to meet business unit’s needs in existing and new markets, and completing assigned tasks in SLA deadlines. Seçil also held the role of Market Coordinator, where they were responsible for checking visibility of newly contracted and added profiles and making sure that correct rates and restrictions are reflected on channels, and checking if existing hotels are shown on Metglobal Websites with correct pictures, content and details and correcting any wrong data or information. Additionally, they were a Data Specialist. In 2021, they moved to Bookaway as Europe Operation Manager.

Seçil Ünlü Akkaya attended Istanbul University from 2009 to 2016, studying İtalyan Dili ve Edebiyatı and Pedagojik Formasyon. In 2014, they obtained a C1 in La lingua italiana from Scuola di Italiano Dante Alighieri. Seçil then attended Anadolu University from 2016 to 2017, studying Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım. In 2021, they earned a Certified Associate in Scrum Fundamentals (CASF) certification from SkillFront.
