Jos D. has a diverse background in finance and leadership roles. Jos is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at BookBeat, a start-up streaming service for audio and e-books in Europe. Prior to this, Jos worked at Discovery Inc as the Chief Financial Officer for Discovery Nordics, where they played a vital role in transforming the broadcast business into a digital-first entertainment company. Jos was also the Vice President of Finance for Discovery Northern Europe and SBS Discovery Media. Before joining Discovery Inc, Jos held the position of VP International Controlling/Finance at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, where they successfully completed several media mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager at Nielsen and held various roles at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. Jos has a wealth of experience in finance and has contributed to the growth and transformation of several prominent media companies.
Jos D. completed their Master's degree in Economics from the University of Groningen. Jos then pursued an Executive Master of Accountancy from the same university in the year 1998-1999. Following that, they attended The Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained the Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
