Brenda Mondy, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in the education field. Brenda started their career as a Kindergarten teacher at Edward Titche Elementary in 1998, where they drafted lesson plans, implemented behavioral management plans, and attended team and staff meetings. From 2001 to 2005, Brenda served as a 2nd grade teacher and Campus Instructional Team Leader at Richard Lagow Elementary and acquired instructional information for math, disseminated it to teachers, and instructed students in Reading and Language Arts. Brenda continued their teaching career at Bilhartz Elementary in Duncanville ISD from 2005 to 2007, teaching 4th-grade Math and 2nd-grade self-contained classes. In this role, Brenda achieved high passing rates on the Math TAKS exam and aligned curriculum for campus goals. Brenda then joined Dallas Independent School District in 2007 as a Teacher/Campus Instructional Team Leader/Team Leader at Guzick Elementary School. Brenda taught various grade levels, including Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. Brenda also led the Campus Instructional Leadership Team for Math and drafted weekly lesson plans. Brenda further expanded their career by working as a Club Program Specialist at Boys & Girls Clubs of America during the summer of 2019, where they facilitated youth activities and collaborated with staff members. In 2015, Brenda retired from their position and worked as a substitute teacher in Dallas Independent School District, delivering existing lesson plans, assigning class and homework activities, and providing small group intervention for students in reading and math. Brenda then joined Lernsys Inc. in 2017 as a Curriculum Developer/Teacher, where they created video lessons for the State of Texas TEKs curriculum for home-schooled learners. Most recently, Brenda started working at BookNook in 2021 as a Teacher. Additionally, they wrote a book titled "This Is Who I Am" in 2022. Throughout their career, Brenda has demonstrated their expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and student engagement in various educational settings.

Brenda Mondy, M.Ed. received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on History and Business Administration, from Dallas Baptist University in 1997. Brenda then went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood from Texas Woman's University, which they completed in 2005.

In addition to their degrees, Brenda has obtained various certifications related to their field. In August 1998, they received a Lifetime PreK-6 Teaching certification from the Texas Education Agency. In September 2015, they obtained a certification in English as a Second Language (ESL) from the same institution.
