Steve Bercu

Steve Bercu is a seasoned professional in the book retail industry, serving as Co-Owner of BookPeople since January 1995 and holding the position of CEO from 1999 until June 2018. Bercu was actively involved in leadership roles within the American Booksellers Association from 2007 to June 2015, serving as a Board Member and President from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Bercu led the Independent Booksellers Consortium as President from June 2007 to June 2011. An alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, Bercu earned a Bachelor's degree and a Law degree (JD) with a focus on History.
