Emily Rymer's work experience includes various roles in software engineering and development. Emily is currently working as an Engineer at Bookshop.org since October 2021. Prior to that, Emily worked as a Freelance Developer, where they worked on custom review apps using Laravel and created WordPress sites for local churches. Emily also updated Shopify sites with new payment badges and 'Add to Cart' buttons.

Earlier in their career, Emily worked as a Full Stack PHP Developer Contractor at Jackson Marketing, Motorsports & Events. Emily was responsible for content updates on existing websites and implementing backend logic for photo submissions.

Emily also worked as a Software Engineering Contractor at GE, where they worked with UI/UX teams and later switched to the Analytics team.

Emily started their career as a Helpdesk at East Stroudsburg University.

Emily Rymer's education history starts with their high school diploma from James L. Mann Academy, which they obtained in 2007. Emily then went on to attend Everett Community College from 2010 to 2012, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Associates of Arts and Science.

In 2015, Emily briefly attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, studying Computer Science for a year. Emily then pursued a certificate program in Back-End Engineering at The Iron Yard in 2016.

Additionally, Emily has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they completed courses in AngularJS 1 and UX Design Tools: Axure through Lynda.com, as well as Responsive Media and The Five-Step Creative Process. In 2017, they obtained certifications in Java, JavaScript, and SQL fundamentals through SoloLearn, and also received certifications in Big Data and Hadoop Essentials and Oracle SQL Developer: Tips and Tricks from Udemy. Furthermore, they completed courses in Fundamentals of Application Security and Fundamentals of Secure Development from GE.

It is worth mentioning that Emily also has unfinished courses in Angular Fundamentals, Angular: The Big Picture, AngularJS Services In-depth, AngularJS: Get Started, Quick Start to JavaScript: Volume 1, Quick Start to JavaScript: Volume 2, and Quick Start to JavaScript: Volume 3 from Pluralsight.
