Sharon Geltner

Sharon Geltner is an experienced multimedia journalist and communications specialist with a diverse background in public relations, writing, and education. Currently serving as a multimedia journalist at The Coastal Star since July 2018 and as a contributing writer for BookTrib since January 2020, Geltner provides insights through book reviews and publishing news. As the president of Froogle PR since March 2009, Geltner oversees public relations strategies. Previous roles include senior publicist at Meryl Moss Media Group, web content producer at Palm Beach Atlantic University, business analyst at Palm Beach State College, and adjunct instructor at Broward College. Earlier experience includes serving as communications director at Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services and director of PR, marketing, and development at Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service. Geltner holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s Degree in Communications & Media from Lynn University.
