Sarah Sobek

Sarah Sobek has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Sarah started their career as a Military Police Officer in the US Army from 1996 to 2000, where they maintained law and order and performed reconnaissance and surveillance operations.

Sarah then transitioned to the audit field, working as an Experienced Audit Associate at PwC from 2003 to 2006. In this role, they conducted audits in various industries and applied auditing procedures in accordance with accounting standards.

Following their time at PwC, Sarah worked as a Staff Auditor at Campbell Taylor & Company from 2006 to 2008. Here, they developed audit plans, coordinated field work, and prepared financial statements for a range of organizations.

Sarah's next role was at The McClatchy Company, where they held the positions of Senior Internal Auditor from 2008 to 2011 and Senior Accountant from 2011 to 2013. In these roles, they supported internal departments, prepared financial reports, and applied accounting policies.

From 2013 to 2014, Sarah worked as a Controller at Centre Daily Times, overseeing financial operations. Sarah then moved to Maiden Lane Jewelry LTD, where they served as Controller from 2014 to 2016, handling financial management and reporting.

Most recently, Sarah joined The Madison Square Garden Company in 2016 as Manager, Financial Reporting - Teams Finance. Sarah worked in this role until 2021, contributing to the financial reporting for the company's teams.

In 2021, Sarah Sobek took up the position of Accounting Manager at Boom Entertainment, where they currently work.

Sarah Sobek pursued their education starting from 2000 until 2002 at SUNY Adirondack, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business Administration. Sarah continued their studies from 2002 until 2004 at the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Later, in 2017, Sarah attended Syracuse University, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forensic Accounting in 2018.
