Brian Malkin

Brian Malkin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education and management. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO at Rang since June 2023, Malkin's focus lies in enhancing student outcomes and teacher retention through a rewards platform for schools. Previously, Malkin held the title of Principal at GCM Grosvenor from August 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities included supporting the company’s public transition and leading shareholder relations. Malkin also founded the Schools Lab at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, creating an independent study program that linked MBA students with local school principals, achieving a 100% satisfaction and renewal rate. Additional roles include Investments at MATH Venture Partners and Management Consultant at Civic Consulting Alliance. Earlier experience includes serving as Network Chief of Staff and classroom teacher at Distinctive Schools and participation in Teach For America. Malkin holds an MBA from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan.
