Heather Simonsen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare industry. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Strategy Consultant at Simonsen Consulting. In 2010, they held the position of Senior Account Director, Healthcare at WCG, a W2O Company, and concurrently served as Director of Marketing at Abbott Vascular. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Director at Johnson & Johnson.

In 2015, Simonsen joined Summa Therapeutics as a Board Advisor and also became a member of the Board of Directors at Peninsula Youth Theatre - Silicon Valley. During the same year, they joined Moo Pie Ventures LLC as a member of the Board of Directors, providing advisory services to venture capital and private equity companies.

In 2016, Simonsen took on the role of President at PQ Bypass, Inc., where they led the company through a successful turnaround and acquisition. Heather joined the company as VP of Marketing and progressively grew their responsibilities to General Manager and then President. Additionally, they served on the Founders Board of Advisors at StartX Med.

Their most recent position is as the Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Boomerang Medical, starting in 2021. Throughout their career, Simonsen has demonstrated strategic planning, P&L management, and leadership skills in the MedTech industry.

Heather Simonsen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued an MBA in Entrepreneurship at DePaul Driehaus College of Business. Later, they attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and completed the Executive Development Program, specializing in General Management.
