Velyn Persaud

Velyn Persaud, MD, MHA, CHC has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. In 2013, they worked as a Clinical Manager/ Internal Medicine-Oncology at Dr. Arthur Goldberg, MD. They then moved on to Sterling Care LLC in 2015, where they served as a Quality Improvement Summer Associate. The following year, in 2016, they became the Compliance Director at OBERD - Universal Research Solutions, LLC. In 2018, Persaud joined the University of Missouri Health Care as a Lead Compliance Analyst. Their most recent position is Chief Compliance Officer at Boone Hospital Center, which they assumed in 2020. Alongside their work, Persaud also served as the Graduate Student Coordinator at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health from 2015 to 2016.

Velyn Persaud, MD, MHA, CHC completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at Stony Brook University. They then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Afterward, they attended Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where they obtained a Master of Health Administration degree. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), SCCE & HCCA, Certified E&M Auditor from NAMAS National Alliance of Medical Auditing Specialist, and Certified in Healthcare Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
