Deanna Thies

Deanna Thies is an accomplished Agricultural Education Instructor at Boonville R-1 School District, a position held since July 2004, where responsibilities include teaching Greenhouse Operations and Management, Landscape and Turfgrass Management, Floriculture, Leadership and Communications, and Introductory Plant, Soil, and Ag Mechanics, along with serving as the FFA Advisor. Additionally, Deanna is the founder of The Veggie Patch, a farm-to-table direct marketing operation focused on fresh produce, where the current role encompasses website development, social media, and advertising. Previous experience includes serving as an Agricultural Education Instructor at Chillicothe R-II School District from July 2003 to June 2004. Deanna holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture Education and two Bachelor's degrees in Agricultural Teacher Education and Plant Sciences, all earned from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
