Leo Barella

Leo Barella currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton since August 2025. Prior to this role, Leo held significant positions including Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Takeda, where Leo led global digital and technology transformation initiatives and implemented an award-winning Enterprise Architecture Program. Previous experience includes roles at AstraZeneca as Vice President of Enterprise Architecture, where Leo executed digital transformation efforts, and at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Excellus BCBS as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer overseeing various IT strategies and innovations. Additional roles at HCSC, Accenture, Baxter Healthcare, JP Morgan Chase, and Avanade further highlight Leo's extensive expertise in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and data governance. Leo holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications from Università di Pavia and completed additional education at the University of Florida and MIT Sloan School of Management focusing on Artificial Intelligence in Health Care.
