John Lawrie

John Lawrie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical operations and quality management. Currently serving as Vice President Operations and General Manager at Bora Pharmaceuticals since December 2020, John Lawrie has successfully led the transition of the Mississauga site to an independent CDMO facility. Prior to this role, John Lawrie held various positions at GlaxoSmithKline Inc from October 2014 to December 2020, including Value Stream Director and Site Quality Director, overseeing quality management for the Canadian manufacturing site. John Lawrie's earlier tenure at GlaxoSmithKline in Dartford included leadership roles such as Site Quality and Technical Director, where John Lawrie managed a large team and supported significant manufacturing initiatives. John Lawrie began professional development with an MSc in Chemistry from The University of Manchester, completed in 1994.
