Jim O'Toole

Jim O'Toole currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Bord Bia - The Irish Food Board since November 2022. Previously, Jim held the position of CEO at Bord Iascaigh Mhara - Ireland's Seafood Development Agency from April 2017 to January 2023, focusing on enhancing Ireland's position in the global seafood industry. Jim's extensive experience at Bord Bia spans over two decades, during which leadership roles included Director of Meat & Sustainability Development, where Jim was instrumental in delivering the Origin Green sustainability program, and Director of Meat and Livestock, responsible for strategic services contributing significantly to Irish food exports. Jim's earlier career at Bord Bia also featured roles in quality assurance and trade marketing across various markets. Jim's academic background includes advanced degrees in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, alongside executive education from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and Cranfield School of Management.
