Saumitra Buragohain was a Vice President, Products, Hortonworks Data Platform at Hortonworks, a Big Data pioneer, and led major product launches/initiatives (HDP 3.0, DataPlane 1.0, Hybrid Cloud, Kubernetes). Alum of the market leaders EMC and Brocade, Saumitra led major P&Ls and strategies. Saumitra also founded a startup (accepted into Alchemist) and headed Products at Skyera (acquired by Western Digital). Saumitra has 2 granted patents, an MBA (SCU), and an MS (USC).
