Denes Rothschild

Denes Rothschild is a seasoned legal professional with extensive expertise in competition/antitrust law and foreign investment review, currently serving as a Partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP since August 2009. Specializing in advising leading companies in the digital economy and various industries such as retail, finance, real estate, and energy, Denes has substantial experience in merger proposals, foreign investment reviews, and compliance with competition regulations, as well as litigating against allegations of cartel violations and misleading advertising under the Competition Act. Prior to this role, Denes worked as Corporate Counsel at Hewlett-Packard, negotiating complex IT contracts and advising on employment law and privacy compliance, and began legal training as an Articling Student and Summer Associate at McCarthy Tetrault. Denes holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Toronto.
