John Murphy

John Murphy is the National Managing Partner and CEO at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Managing Partner for the Montreal office. John has been with BLG since 1990, starting as an associate. John has a long history with the company and is a respected leader within it. Under their guidance, BLG has become one of the largest law firms in Canada.

John Murphy has a certificate from the Institute of Corporate Directors from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. John also has a Leadership in Law Firms Certificate from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Université de Sherbrooke. Lastly, they have a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from McGill University.
