Rob Blackstein

Rob Blackstein is a seasoned corporate and transactional lawyer currently serving as Partner and Co-Chair of the Electricity Markets Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto since October 2016. With extensive experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, Rob is involved in all aspects of the industry, including project development, debt and equity financings, construction, operations, and mergers and acquisitions, both domestic and cross-border. Prior to this role, Rob was a Partner at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP from September 2006 to September 2016, where expertise in domestic and cross-border transactions, financings, private equity, and venture capital was demonstrated. Rob Blackstein's educational background includes an LLB and J.D. from the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, respectively, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics and Political Science from Queen's University.
