Joseph Ulwelling

Chief Lending Officer at Border Bank

Joseph Ulwelling has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joseph started their career in 1999 as a Forward for the Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club, where they were part of the inaugural season and contributed to building a winning culture. In 2005, they transitioned to the banking industry and worked as a Branch Manager at TCF Bank until 2007. Joseph then joined Border Bank as a Business/Ag Officer and later became the President and Chief Lending Officer. In 2010, Joseph also became the Owner/Operator of Ulwelling Farms LLC, where they specialized in the production of small grains and grass seed.

Joseph Ulwelling completed their high school education at Warroad High School from 1995 to 1999, earning a High School Diploma. Joseph then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management at Gustavus Adolphus College from 2001 to 2005. Their education continued with the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado from 2011 to 2013, where they focused on Community Banking.
