Louis-Simon Ferland has an extensive work experience in the finance and legal industry. Louis-Simon is the Founder and CEO of Boreal IM, a position they have held since August 2021. Before that, they worked as an Associate at Merrill Lynch from August 2006 to December 2009. Their career started at Hunton & Williams, where they worked as an Associate from 2000 to 2003.

Louis-Simon Ferland attended College Jean-de-Brebeuf from 1993 to 1995, where they earned a DEC degree in Sciences. Louis-Simon then went on to complete their BCL and LLB degrees at McGill University - Faculty of Law from 1996 to 2000. In 2004, they pursued an MBA degree specializing in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia Business School, completing it in 2006.
