Earlier, Barbara worked as a Senior Product Development Engineer at Baxter Healthcare from April 1999 to November 2003. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Industrial Marketing Strategy degree from INSEAD and multiple degrees in engineering and physics from Université catholique de Louvain, Université de Namur, and CERAN.
