Koen Peeters

Koen Peeters has extensive experience in financial management and accounting, currently serving as Controller for the Business Unit Hydrocarbons & Energy at Borealis since September 2002. In this role, responsibilities include monthly financial closing, analysis, reporting, quarterly rolling forecasts, yearly business plans, and providing support to the VP and management team. Previously held positions at Borealis include Manager Business Accounting, where practices for compliance and data quality in management reporting were developed, and Manager Business Accounting & (ai) Accounting Services, focusing on adherence to group policies in cost accounting. Koen has also served as Process Leader for product costing and COPA, leading improvements in product costing processes, and has managed teams across multiple European locations. Earlier experience includes accounting roles at Honda Europe and GE. Koen Peeters holds degrees in Accounting & Fiscal from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool and the University of Antwerp.
