Magnus Blohm

Magnus Blohm has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Magnus started their career as a CNC Operator at GKN Aerospace Sweden AB, where they produced high-precision rotating compressor and turbine parts for commercial and military aircraft engines. Magnus then served as a Project Engineer and Lead Engineer at the same company, leading engineering efforts for engine programs and overseeing design, manufacturing, and production start-ups.

Blohm later joined Aker Solutions, where they held multiple roles, including Business Manager for the North American region and Senior Manager for the Global Major Capital Projects function. In these positions, they managed commercial, contracts, and risk functions, as well as tendering for global major projects. Magnus also worked on offshore deepwater oil and gas developments with contract values exceeding $500 million.

After Aker Solutions, Blohm worked at AkzoNobel as a Senior Manager for Group Global Capital Projects. During their tenure, AkzoNobel divested its specialty chemicals division, which became Nouryon. Blohm then joined Nouryon as a Senior Manager, overseeing group capital projects across global locations.

Following their role at Nouryon, Blohm became the Vice President of Group Global Technology, Engineering & Investments at Perstorp Group. In this position, they had accountability for all engineering, technology, and capital investments across the company's global operations.

Currently, Blohm serves as the Vice President of Project Execution, JVs & Global Growth Projects at Borealis. Magnus leads project execution activities and organization for greenfield mega capital projects at a multi-billion euro/usd level, covering all geographic regions and global joint ventures.

Magnus Blohm holds a master's degree in Project Management & Operational Development from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
