Niels Bering Larsen

Niels Bering Larsen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Niels Bering is currently the CIO at BORG Automotive Group since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a member of the Advisory Board for Digitalization at both Junget A/S (since 2021) and JO Hydraulics A/S (since 2020). Niels Bering also worked as a CENSORSHIP (ERHVERVSØKONOMI OG HD) at Aarhus University starting in 2019.

From 2018 to 2022, Larsen held the position of Head of IT and Digitalization at EL:CON, where they led IT operations, business applications, and the digitalization strategy. Before that, they served as the Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Salling Group from 2015 to 2018, managing reporting, performance management, and data delivery solutions.

Additionally, Larsen has held roles at Erhvervsakademiet Lillebælt, where they served as a member of the Advisory Board for Datamatiker and PBA software developer education from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked at d60 as a Manager, responsible for developers and consultants, and as a Developer, Consultant, and Project Manager in the Business Intelligence field. Lastly, Larsen served as a Board Member at STARTit, an organization for entrepreneurs and startups in Aarhus, from 2010 to 2014.

Niels Bering Larsen's education history starts with a Bachelor's degree in IT and organizations from Aarhus University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Niels Bering then pursued a Cand. IT degree in Informationsvidenskab from Aarhus University between 2007 and 2009. Later, in 2014, they earned a Master's degree in IT-strategi og -Governance from Aarhus University. Additionally, Niels has obtained several certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from SCRUM Alliance in 2013 and 2012 respectively, and Advanced Analysis Server (SSAS) and Advanced Integration Services (SSIS) certifications in Microsoft Sql Server from StoltzeIt in 2011 and 2010 respectively.
