Rune Avnsted

Rune Avnsted has a diverse and extensive work experience. Rune is currently working as the Sales Director for BORG Automotive Group since October 2022. Rune is also an Advisory Board Member for Boxhub since June 2022. Previously, from October 2020 to September 2022, they held the position of Chief Business Developer and Head of Commerce at GRUNDFOS. Before that, in 2018, they were the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Erria Containers. Prior to that, they held various positions at Maersk Line from 1999 to 2018, including Managing Director of Maersk Container Sales and Head of Marketing, Branding & Customer Insights. Rune Avnsted also served as Vice Chairman of the Board at České přístavy, a.s. - Czech Ports from April 2008 to July 2009 and worked as a Sales Manager at NOVAX A/S from 1997 to 1999.

Rune Avnsted has a diverse educational background in business administration and management, digital strategies for business, transformation, strategy and leadership, organizational leadership, organizational theory and communication, and general shipping, maritime law, economics, and logistics.

Rune obtained their MBA in Business Administration and Management from Aarhus BSS - Aarhus University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, in 2019, they completed a post-graduate certificate in Digital Strategies for Business: Leading the Next Generation Enterprise from Columbia Business School. In 2014, they attended IMD for The Bridge Transformation Programme 1&2, focusing on transformation, strategy, and leadership. Furthermore, in 2010, Rune Avnsted completed a Maersk Line internal course in Leading Leaders, emphasizing organizational leadership. Rune also holds a HD(O) - Graduate Diploma in Organizational Theory and Communication from Copenhagen Business School, which they obtained between 1999 and 2006. Lastly, from 1999 to 2001, they completed courses related to general shipping, maritime law, economics, and logistics at Maersk International Shipping Education.
