Larissa Supnik

Larissa Supnik has a strong background in software engineering and has worked for various companies throughout their career. Larissa started their career in 2004 at Microsoft as a Tester before moving on to SiCortex in 2006, where they worked as a Tester and investigated open source test suites. In 2007, Larissa worked at SiCortex as a Toolsmith.

In 2008, Larissa joined GenArts, Inc. as a Junior Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer. At GenArts, they created and maintained visual effects plugins using C/C++ and CUDA for various software programs. Larissa also developed a Python/PyQt application to assist customers using Sapphire.

In 2018, Larissa joined Boris FX as a Lead Software Engineer. In addition to their regular software engineering duties, they took on additional responsibilities such as managing ticket priorities and assignments, leading a small team of developers, and setting out schedules and time estimates for projects. Larissa also worked closely with Marketing, Sales, and Support to prioritize feature development and bug fixes.

Larissa Supnik obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Mount Holyoke College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. After that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Tufts University, which they completed between 2004 and 2008.
