Gita Matlock

Gita Matlock currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Born Free USA since June 2023 and as an Advanced Equine Facilitator at TeachingHorse since July 2022. Prior to these roles, Gita Matlock was the Principal Consultant & Coach at Gita Matlock Consulting from July 2020 to June 2023 and held the position of Director of Mid-Level Giving at March of Dimes from 2019 to July 2020. Gita Matlock also served as Director of Communications and Development at Ananda Worldwide from 2014 to 2019 and as Senior Director of Development, Impact Fund & Individual Giving at CARE from 2009 to 2014. Additional roles include Director of Development at Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), Resource Development Officer at International Medical Corps, and various positions at United Way of the Bay Area. Gita Matlock holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science from Pepperdine University and a Master's in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
