Dwight Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dwight began their career at Joseph B. Dahlkemper Co., Inc. in 1985, holding various positions in Accounting and Information Systems. Dwight was promoted to Chief Financial Officer when the company filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 and was responsible for handling all financial duties for both the bankrupt and reorganized company. After leaving Joseph B. Dahlkemper Co., Inc., Dwight joined Corry Memorial Hospital as the Chief Financial Officer from 1994 to 1997. Dwight then served as the President & General Manager of WQLN Public Media from 1997 to 2013. Dwight also had a role as a Commissioner in the Franklin Township Planning Commission from 1999 to 2013. Dwight worked as an Adjunct Professor at Mercyhurst College from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, Dwight held positions at KINBER as a Board Member, Treasurer, and Finance Committee Chair from 2010 to 2012, at Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education & Research as a Controller from 2013 to 2014, and at Borough of State College as a Finance Director from 2014 (ongoing). In 2012, Dwight started their own business, Miller Computer & Accounting Services, and has been the Owner since then.
Dwight Miller began their education journey in 1983 at Erie Business Center, where they obtained an Associate of Specialized Business (ASB) degree in Accounting. Dwight went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting at Gannon University from 1986 to 1996. Finally, Miller completed their formal education at Mercyhurst University, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership from 2005 to 2010.

Borough of State College
State College Borough's mission is to enhance the quality of life by fostering a safe, vibrant, diverse, and sustainable community, by providing quality, innovative, cost effective services; and by allocating resources efficiently with professionalism, integrity, transparency, and accountability. The Manager, Thomas J. Fountaine, II, is appointed by Council and serves as the chief executive officer of the Borough. The Manager and Assistant Borough Secretary provide direct support for Council. The general administration staff also includes the Assistant Borough Manager, Human Resources Director, Purchasing/Risk Management Director, Neighborhood Services Coordinator, Communications and Grants Coordinator, and two Staff Assistants. The general administration staff is charged to provide support for all Borough operating departments and general management of the day-to-day operations. The Borough's operating departments include Finance, Information Technology, Ordinance Enforcement & Public Health, Parking, Police, Planning & Community Development, Public Works, and Tax. State College residents also receive services from the Centre Region Council of Governments, which oversees building code enforcement, library services, parks and recreation services, and regional planning; as well as Alpha Fire Company, Centre Area Transportation Authority, Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority, State College Water Authority, and University Area Joint Authority.
