Josh Portney

Josh Portney is an experienced political professional currently serving as a Council Member for the Borough of State College since January 2024 and as a Legislative Assistant for State Representative Scott Conklin since November 2021. Portney has a background in campaign management, having successfully managed the campaigns for Ezra Nanes for State College Mayor and Peter Buck for State Representative, among others. Previous roles include digital campaign consulting and managing campaign staff for several candidates, contributing to effective outreach and strategy. Portney holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University and is currently an incoming J.D. candidate at Penn State Law.
