Jose Araujo

Jose Araujo, EMBA has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Jose currently serves as the Head of Finance at Borr Drilling since June 2020. Prior to this, they were the Chief Financial Officer & Managing Director at Nibra Designs from September 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they provided leadership in financial reporting and analysis, tax controls, banking, and cash management.

From 2014 to 2018, Araujo worked at Ocean Rig, first as a Global Finance Manager & Chief Accountant, and later as a Finance and Administration Manager. During their tenure, they oversaw financial performance reporting and compliance, managed financial routines, and provided support to the operations and executive management team.

Before joining Ocean Rig, Araujo held roles at Transocean, where they served as Controller for South America Division and Angola. Jose also worked as an Accounting Supervisor and Senior Rig Accountant. In these roles, they led teams and provided key information and analysis to drive data-driven decisions.

At the start of their career, Araujo worked as an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they managed audit and advisory services for clients in the oil and gas, mining, and construction industries. Jose was responsible for project management, budget preparation, and audit reporting in accordance with local regulations and international accounting standards.

Jose Araujo, EMBA, completed their Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 2001.
