Jackie Ngo has a wealth of experience in software engineering and development. Jackie began their career in 2012 as a Center Assistant at Kumon North America, Inc. In 2016, they joined London Hydro as an IT Developer, where they improved London Hydro's Intranet usability by rebuilding their Intranet using Google Sites and Google App Script, developed and improved the software quality of an android app called “MyLights”, and assisted in setting up different home automation technologies and adding an electronic form submitting functionality to their health and safety app. In 2017, they joined DAC Group as an Application Developer, where they significantly improved software quality by developing new features, fixing bugs, and resolving production related issues for the Respond to Reviews project in an agile scrum environment. In 2019, they joined IBM as a Db2 PureScale Software Developer, where they implemented a ping command that allowed users to set a custom number of pings and researched and tested Pacemaker on RHEL and SUSE as a potential component for Db2 PureScale component. Also in 2019, they joined Blackstone Energy Services Inc. as a Software Engineering, where they redesigned and optimized several backend jobs, improving the performance by up to 5 times and enabling the jobs to run multiple times throughout the day without disrupting other software systems. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Borrowell as a Full-stack Developer.
Jackie Ngo attended Sir William Mulock S.S from 2010 to 2014. Jackie then attended the Faculty of Engineering at Western University from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Science (B.E.Sc.) With Internship in Software Engineering.
